Assault takes an unusually high spot at 10% – this could be from an attack, fighting, or just random assault. Assault is most prevalent amongst adults, leaving 2.9% of these injuries to children and less than 1% of attacks towards the elderly. Even at these low percentages, they are far higher than they need to be.

Other

“Other” is a catch-all category that fits the injuries that can’t really be explained. Accounting for 21% of TBI, other can really be anything from medical malpractice  to sporting accidents.
