Millstone NJ Man Killed in Fatal Truck Accident on Upper Freehold Township Road

A truck accident in Upper Freehold Township resulted in the tragic death of the truck driver, who was from Millstone, New Jersey.
The fatal truck crash appears to have involved just one vehicle: a 2009 Ford pickup truck. According to law enforcement officials, the driver of the truck was traveling along Emley’s Hill Road in Upper Freehold Township NJ just before noon when he suddenly lost control of the truck and veered too far off the roadway. The truck left the road and didn’t stop until crashing into a tree. Upon impact with the tree, the truck flipped over.
The truck driver, who was reportedly not wearing his seatbelt, ended up being thrown through the windshield and landed some distance away from the vehicle. Meanwhile, a passenger in the truck who was wearing his seatbelt remained inside the vehicle after the crash.
Other motorists witnessed the truck accident and dialed 911 to alert Upper Freehold Township police. Local law enforcement contacted the New Jersey State Police, which dispatched troopers and emergency medical crews to the scene of the truck crash.
By the time emergency medical responders arrived at the scene, it was too late to do anything to save the truck driver who was thrown from the vehicle. Officials pronounced the victim dead a short time after the accident. Meanwhile, NJ State troopers worked quickly to extricate the pickup truck passenger from the vehicle because he was trapped inside.
The passenger was briefly treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the victim who died in the truck accident was later identified as a 57-year-old man who lived in the Clarksburg area of Millstone, NJ.
New Jersey State Police is currently investigating the auto accident and attempting to determine exactly what happened. Depending on the circumstances leading up to the crash, it is possible that the injured passenger who survived the crash may be able to file a personal injury lawsuit to get compensation for medical bills, pain and suffering, and related expenses. Additionally, if it turns out that the truck accident was caused by another motorist on the roadway, poor road condition, or a defective product, the family members of the truck driver who died in the accident may be able to file a wrongful death claim.
