About Rahway, NJ
Rahway is a city located in Union County, New Jersey. Rahway is considered part of the New York City metropolitan area, being located approximately 20 miles southwest of Manhattan. One origin of Rahway’s name states that the name derives from a local tribal chief of the Lenape Native Americans who originally inhabited the area of present-day Rahway. Rahway was originally named Spanktown. Formal European settlement began in the mid-1600s. Rahway saw extensive action during the Revolutionary War due to its proximity to British-held New York and to Raritan Bay. During the post-revolutionary era, Rahway was home to the first national mint and one of the first U.S. Post Offices in New Jersey. After being incorporated in 1858, Rahway became home to numerous manufacturers, including Merck & Co. which is still located in Rahway.
Frequently Asked Questions about Personal Injury in Rahway, NJ
If you’ve been injured through no fault of your own in a car accident where the other driver had no insurance or his or her coverage wasn’t sufficient to reimburse you for all your damages, you may be entitled to turn to your own insurance policy for compensation from your uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage. Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage pays benefits when the at-fault party’s insurance coverage fails to compensate you for the full extent of your damages.
You should never give a statement to the insurance company without first speaking with a personal injury attorney. The insurance company will be looking to use your statement against you to deny your claim or to offer you less compensation than you are entitled to. If you must give a statement to the insurance company, an attorney can help you to best protect your rights. Typically, you can require the insurance company to direct all communications and requests to your attorney, who can ensure that your rights and interests are being looked after.
